the gift of a live show is this: once you step into the room, it changes your perception of time. you’ve made the choice to be there, and there you are, and now your only responsibility is to attend to what is in front of you, or around you. it is kind of amazing. 

i think of shows as an “unburdened space,” meaning a space where your mind can wander, where you can see yourself in a different light, or you can just be in it. 

but whatever “unburdening” feels like to you, and wherever you are able to notice it— i hope that you are able to find pockets of it this week and this coming year <3
