I feel like I’ve gotten kind of nowhere today with the work I wanted to do. And now I’m thinking about how that is the gift of a routine (or a practice of showing up to creative work). The gift– even if one day you feel unaccomplished in your work you know that tomorrow you will also show up for the work, and the day after, and the day after. And eventually you’ll work out an answer.

It’s kind of a numbers games. One day you’ll have no solutions, and the next you’ll be brimming with them. It all averages out.
