describe happiness

describe happiness, in a paragraph or two. what does it look like for you?

then ask, “do you have everything you need right now for this happiness to exist in your life?”

if so, good on you.

if not, perhaps happiness is not the word we want it to be. perhaps it is a capitalist synonym for discontent. a facade that we feel we have to live up to in order to live a full, content life. a state of being that keeps us chasing, and more importantly keeps us buying, or working more so we can save more, so we can spend more. everyone else is “happy”, shouldn’t I be?

i think, (unpopular opinion) that you can live a full, content, beautiful life and not feel happy. and maybe the best way to do so is to not chase happiness.
