curious, not judgmental

There’s an episode of Ted Lasso where he faces off with people who have acted on their pre-conceived judgements of them. He has this brilliant monologue where he explains, “people were always underestimating me. and I assumed it was my fault. but no, it was because they were being curious not judgmental. had they asked me one question they maybe would have not underestimated me, but they didn’t.”

People’s judgements of you are not your responsibility or your fault.
