another Britney Spears documentary?

Something felt a little bit strange to me when the second and third documentaries about Britney Spears’ conservatorship were announced. Why tell a story that has already been told? But more importantly why tell a story that has already been told without including the subject of the story?

I wrote a paper inspired by that query, linked it to the idea of “popular feminism” (don’t worry, we’ll define this later), and connected it to Hildegard of Bingen (yes, the Benedictine nun of 12th century). It’s a trip.

It’ll be brought to you in 7 parts this week. So, hang tight.
